AFL-CIO: Tell Congress Not to Take Away Health Benefits from Millions of Americans

Labor News

Reprinted from an AFL-CIO petition on March 14, 2017.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) and other Republican extremists in Congress are moving quickly to take away health care benefits from millions of families by repealing the Affordable Care Act and replacing it with a plan that will eliminate the health benefits of millions of people, give a huge tax break to millionaires and hit working people with a permanent tax on their health benefits.

We need to tell them that this is the wrong thing to do for families who will be left without access to the doctors and medicine they’ve come to rely on since the ACA passed.

Sign the petition now to tell Congress to oppose the Republicans’ plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act because it will confiscate health care benefits from millions of people, hand a big tax break to the wealthy few and impose a burdensome permanent tax on working people’s health benefits. …
