AB 2319, the bill to create a standalone California post-production tax incentive, is entering one of its most important stages. 🚨

After overwhelmingly passing the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee, the bill now heads to the Senate Appropriations Committee. The thousands of letters and phone calls from Guild members and allies have been essential to getting AB 2319 this far. Now we're asking you to show your support once again.

Take a minute to send a letter urging Senator Sabrina Cervantes, Senator Monique Limón, and Governor Gavin Newsom to support the creation of a standalone California post-production tax incentive. Then, ask your friends and family in California to do the same.

Over the next few pivotal weeks, we need to keep raising our voices to help bring union post-production jobs back to #California.

Great news! 🎉

AB 2319, the bill to create a standalone California post-production tax incentive, passed a key Senate committee vote yesterday and gained three new coauthors.

Now we need Governor Gavin Newsom's support to secure funding for the tax incentive in the state budget.

This Saturday, June 13th, members of @IATSE Local B-192 and Unite HERE Local 11 — together representing more than 6,000 employees at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park & CityWalk — will join for a rally and march starting at 5:00 pm!

We encourage all Local members who are able to attend to join in solidarity. RSVP is not required to attend.

📍 LOCATION: Universal Studios Hollywood CityWalk, starting near Buca di Beppo (located near the valet turnaround area)

✊ PURPOSE: Universal generates billions for Comcast, yet many members still struggle to make ends meet. As the company prepares to open a new Fast & Furious attraction, it's offering workers just 2.25% wage increases. We demand and deserve our fair share, and we are fighting for it!

🪧 MATERIALS: We will have picket signs and banners for everyone although people can bring some in support, too.
