Bronwyn was a visual effects editor and community leader who moderated a Facebook group for IATSE parents of neurodiverse children. She shared information and resources she gained from raising her own child and was a wealth of knowledge and support to other IA parents who faced similar challenges.
Her husband Scott wrote on Facebook:
“Bronwyn passed away after a nearly five-year battle with colon cancer. She endured multiple surgeries and treatments with incredible strength and courage. Anyone who spent time with Bronwyn knows she was a deeply caring person and a passionate champion of underdogs, especially in the special needs community, where her advocacy is respected and feared in equal measure.
She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her friends and family: her mother Cheryl Cebula, father Peter Waddington, brother Thomas M. Carpenter, sister-in-law Heather Wilson Carpenter… and by Ryder and Violet, and by me. Good night, sweet girl. I’ll love you forever.”
