Watching Renee Tajima Pena and Christine Choy’s doc Who Killed Vincent Chin? which had a huge impact on me. A few years later, I had the opportunity to play Vincent Chin as an actor for an Off Broadway production of Carry the Tiger to the Mountain. Being a part of this piece as well as watching the doc, brought many things to light in terms of the struggles Asian Americans have had with racism in this country.
Secondly, the opportunity to work with Jon Chu.
