The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has reported 98 new deaths and 8,243 new positive cases due to Covid-19. The lower number of deaths reflects reporting delays over the weekend.
To date, Public Health has reported 1,073,111 and 15,260 deaths. Of the cases, 6,697 people currently hospitalized and 24% are in the ICU. From the nearly 5,380,000 individuals tested, 19% of people tested positive. …
There are also 6,881 Angelenos hospitalized for the coronavirus, with 24% of patients receiving treatment in the ICU. The current hospitalization count marks the first time the county has reported under 7,000 patients in nearly a month. Souther California, however, continues to have 0% ICU capacity. …
