At the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards at Royal Albert Hall in London on February 10, an award was given to a Picture Editor and a combined award for Sound, including Production Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. There was also a Fellowship Award, considered the highest honor the Academy can bestow, presented by HRH The Duke of Cambridge, President of BAFTA, and actress Cate Blanchett.
The British Academy Award for Best Picture Editing in 2018 was given to Hank Corwin, ACE, for his work on Vice.
The Award for Best Sound in 2018 was given to John Casali, Tim Cavagin, Nina Hartstone, Paul Massey and John Warhurst for their work on Bohemian Rhapsody.
The Fellowship Award was presented to picture editor Thelma Schoonmaker, ACE.
